Press any button while the readout displays either "working", "incorrect", or "result" (the module is "busy");
Submit an incorrect letter pair
Edgework: Serial #; Batteries; Port types (RJ45, RCA)
Step 1: Calculate initial number pair
Follow the instructions in the below worksheet, and fill in the answers accordingly. The result of the final row will be the first "current number pair" used in the next step.
Enter the leftmost letter of the Serial #'s numeric position in the alphabet (with A=1), or 0 if there are no letters:
Multiply the last digit of the Serial # with the number of batteries, and add the result to the previous value:
If there IS an RCA port, but NOT an RJ45, double the previous value; otherwise, copy the previous value:
Previous value mod 100:
Step 2: Query and Submit
Look up the current number pair in the table below. Rows correspond to the tens position of the code, and columns correspond to the units position. The intersection of the row and column contains the required letter pair. Enter this letter pair into the next empty row of the worksheet below.
The defuser must now enter the required letter pair into the module and then press the button indicated by the "Action" column. After a short delay, a number pair will be displayed on the readout and then disappear after 3 seconds. This number pair is the new "current number pair." Enter this number pair into the "Result" column. Repeat this process until the worksheet is full. When the worksheet is complete, the module will be solved (or strike, if any step has been performed incorrectly).
